Including a panel discussion, Atomic Fallout: World of the Bomb
Debut of Belbruno’s Oppenheimer Channeled as Microwave Radiation of the Universe

This event presented a unique opportunity to witness a rare explosion of art, mathematics, and science. John Adam’s Doctor Atomic presents a gripping treatment of J. Robert Oppenheimer’s morally conflicted quest to produce the first atom bomb. This subject matter is thoughtfully reflected both in Belbruno’s painting and the panel discussion, in which leading scholars explored the social, political, and scientific issues at stake during the dawn of the nuclear era.
