Van Gogh was an amazing artist who painted Starry Night from of his window – luckily I can paint the whole fucking universe from Richard Gott’s Map of the Universe!

The NASA Art Program was established in 1962 by the United States to commission artists, including Norman Rockwell and Robert Rauschenberg, for the purpose of recording history of space exploration through the eyes of artists

This piece was completed immediately after the Japanese government rescued Hiten using Belbruno's weak stability boundary theory. The success of rescuing a spacecraft with very little fuel was the first application of a theoretical route to the moon.
